Michigan State university Fall Welcome

Michigan State University will welcome new students beginning Wednesday, August 22, 2007 with events designed to help students begin their transition to our world-class university. The following events will introduce students to faculty, staff, and many of the resources available within the Michigan State University and East Lansing communities. All of this and more can be found at the Fall Welcome 2007 Web site.

Highlights include:

  • University Welcome features President Lou Anna K. Simon, Provost Kim Wilcox, and Susan Carol McCarthy, author of Lay that Trumpet in Our Hands.
  • Student Engagement Sessions are designed to provide students with information on how to get ahead at MSU academically and socially.
  • Colloquia with Your College are where new Spartans learn more about the college that is home to their major and connect with faculty and advisors.

All new undergraduate students will receive a personalized schedule of events designed to meet their unique interests. While you will be able to download a general schedule (pdf) beginning in July, it should not be used in place of the personalized schedule received in your residence hall upon move in or at 101 Student Services if commuting to campus.
