Michigan State University will welcome new students beginning Sunday, August 25, 2019 with events designed to help students begin their transition to our world-class university. The following events will introduce students to faculty, staff, and many of the resources available within the Michigan State University and East Lansing communities.

Event Highlights include:

  • Fall Convocation features MSU President Samuel L. Stanley Jr., M.D.  and Provost June Pierce Youatt. The welcome also includes the One Book One Community event jointly hosted by the City of East Lansing and Michigan State University and will feature the author of Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Matthew Desmond.
  • Colloquia with Your College are where new Spartans learn more about the college that is home to their major and connect with faculty and advisors.

All new/transfer undergraduate students can view and print their individualized Fall Welcome schedule IN LATE AUGUST. While you can view events, it should not be used in place of your individualized Fall Welcome schedule. View the website directly at https://mystuinfo.msu.edu/Communications/FallWelcome.
